Turkish police raided homes in Ankara and detained several activists for posting anti-war and anti-government posts on social media.

Songul Akbay, a former advisor of HDP’s Figen Yusekdag and activist Sibel Tekin was detained on Friday morning.

A KAOS GL activist Ali Erol and lawyer Kemal Ulusoy are reported to be among the detained.

Lawyers say that dozens were detained in today’s home raids.

Turkish police reported that the detentions are because of the social media posts against the invasion of Afrin and the government’s policies.
